Reheat pizza in air fryer

We've finally found the ideal method for reheating pizza—the air fryer! Instead of attempting to revive day-old pizza in the microwave, learn how to reheat pizza in the air fryer.

Uses for the Air Fryer

For your information, we have tested every means of warming pizza, including the oven, microwave, and pan on the stovetop. The oven functions OK, however, it takes an eternity to heat up and seems excessive for reheating a few slices.

Although quick, the microwave makes the crust mushy. On the burner, a pan's crust gets beautiful and crispy, but the toppings don't sear as much, which is just how we like it.

Because of this, using an air fryer is the best option. Due to the circulating air and the restricted space in the basket, you can quickly and flawlessly reheat a few slices of pizza while crisping the dough at the same time as it heats the toppings.

Pizza Air Fryer Reheating Instructions

Pizza should be placed in the air fryer after being removed from the refrigerator, being cautious not to overlap any slices. When reheating pizza in the air fryer, don't overlap the slices or the food will cook unevenly.

This will result in some areas being still chilly and others being overheated and possibly overcooked. Consider the flavor of microwaved pizza. Simply put, it's bad.

Set the temperature of your air fryer to 350 degrees and then just turn it on. I advise starting at 325 degrees if your pizza has a very thin crust. Your pizza will cook faster if it is thinner.

Pizza can burn if it is warmed up too soon, making the entire pie extra crispy—not in a good way. The flavor will only be burned.

Reduce the heat by 25 to 30 degrees if you detect the pizza beginning to brown, especially near the crust. This permits the pizza to continue cooking, albeit more slowly.

To ensure that the pizza reheats properly, I prefer to only reheat 1-2 slices at a time (depending on the size of your pizza and air fryer). Pizza should be cooked for three to four minutes before being removed to check the temperature.

Cook the pizza for a further 1-2 minutes in increments, or until it is well heated. Depending on its size and thickness, each piece of pizza can reheat differently, so it's critical to monitor it to ensure the best outcomes.

Unlike an oven, air fryers are made to be opened intermittently during cooking. Therefore, if you merely pull out the drawer for a brief moment to check on your food, it won't lose heat.

To obtain crispy, cheesy pizza that is identical to that from the first day.

This method of reheating works for both handmade and takeaway pizza. Just keep in mind that the temperature will be lower the thinner the pizza is!

That's all there is to it! Now that you have fresh pizza, you will never go back to those mushy microwave attempts. Finally, you can enjoy your pizza, and it's simple!

Some Advice for Air Fryer Reheating Leftover Pizza

  1. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you can only accommodate about 2 slices of pizza at a time in a basket air fryer. They will stick together if you attempt to stack them because of the cheese.

  2. Although I've found this isn't really necessary, you might want to place a ring of parchment paper in the bottom of the basket to prevent cheese from sticking and scorching. When there is nothing in the pan's bottom, the crust becomes crispier.

  3. You may re-heat as many slices as you'd like in a larger oven-style air fryer as long as they fit on the tray without touching.

  4. Always check your food for doneness and modify the cooking time as necessary because air fryer temperatures might vary based on the brand and type.

  5. Avoid attempting to remove the hot pizza from the basket with your hands. To avoid burning yourself when taking the pizza out, always use tongs.
