  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 5 tsp. refined oil
  • 1/4 cup moong dal
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 cup water
  • salt to taste

 

Instructions

Step 1: Wash the moong dal

Missi Roti is a classic North Indian bread that goes well with spicy curries and curd. Here's a simple recipe for this quick and easy roti. To make this unusual Indian bread recipe, heat 1 cup of water in a pot. Remove it from the flame when finished. Cover the pan with a lid after adding the moong dal to the heated water. Leave for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside the water.

 

Step 2: Combine the flour with the remaining ingredients.

In a large mixing bowl, add the wheat flour, salt, turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of oil, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and soaked moong dal. To enhance the flavor of the roti, add 1 teaspoon of ghee, making the Missi Roti more rich and flavorful.

 

Step 3: Make the roti
