Fragrance rice


1 cup basmati rice

1 1/4 cups water

4 whole green cardamom pods

2 - 3 cloves

1 tsp lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

1. Put the rice in a fine sieve and rinse under running cold water until the water runs clear.

2. Stir together the rice, cardamom, cloves, and lemon drops in a deep microwave-safe dish, cover, and microwave on High for about 6 minutes.

3. Uncover carefully and stir well.

4. Recover and microwave on high for about another 6 minutes or until the water runs dry and the rice is soft.

5. Let rice cool down for a few minutes and then remove whole spices and fluff with a fork.
