Grand Canton Restaurant, which has been open since May 2011 and is one of Mauritius' most popular Chinese restaurants, is located in Port Louis. It serves Cantonese food and delicious Dim Sum. Dim Sum is a Cantonese-style Chinese meal consisting of miniature steamed or fried savory dumplings with a variety of fillings. There is an 'A la Carte' menu as well as a Set Menu. Unique entrées, such as a jellyfish salad, are on the menu. The fish maw soup, considered a delicacy in Chinese cuisine, is also a must-try. Whole Salted Chicken, Pekinese-style King Prawns, Steamed Fish, and Sweet and Sour Pork are some of the most popular main meals. Clay pots and sizzling delicacies are also popular, such as aubergine and salt fish clay pots or sizzling Cantonese-style bean curd straight from the grill! A variety of vegetarian dishes are also available at the restaurant.
